Every afternoon, Monday to Thursday, dormitory learners as well as day scholars whose parents have made the necessary arrangements have the privilege to benefit from the Sedaven Primary School after-care programme. During this time learners have the privilege to study and do their homework under the supervision of a staff member.
Grade 1 to 3 learners are under the supervision of a Foundation Phase class teacher.
Older learners meet seperately in a different venue. There are usually two staff members to support them. One staff member is assigned specifically to listen to the oral reading of learners and the other one is on general supervision. Senior learners are expected to work more independently than the little ones, but the supervising teacher will help where possible.
This after-care service is highly appreciated by many working parents because it relieves them from the stress of having to see to the homework of their children. The school bus makes makes a special trip at 16:00 to accommodate the after care learners.two trips in the afternoon.
The fees for this service are given in the School Financial Brochure and can be found HERE.
